Paul Schwieder has studied his medium internationally, attending schools in Canada, Sweden, and the Czech Republic. He has taught in Canada and in Washington State and was most recently employed as an instructor at Le Centre Des Metiers du Verre Du Quebec in Quebec. Schwieder's work is currently in the collections of the Metropolitan museum of Art in New York City, the Museum of Glass in Corning, New York; and the Museum of American Glass in Millville, New Jersey; and the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He currently lives in Sweden with his wife and children.
